Things to do in Edinburgh
From festivals and fireworks to socialising and sightseeing, there are always plenty of things to do in Edinburgh!
Nowhere brings in the New Year with as much colour as Edinburgh’s Hogmanay. But the city is a hub for festivals all year round, particularly in August. Street performers rub shoulders with opera stars, military bands and comedians at the Edinburgh Fringe and International Festivals.
Stroll down the Royal Mile and visit Dynamic Earth, the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace. Wander up the Mile from the Storytelling Apartment and you’ll find Edinburgh Castle and the Camera Obscura. For magnificent views of Edinburgh and Fife climb the dormant volcano known as Arthur’s Seat.
Hundreds of restaurants vie to be among the best places to eat in Edinburgh and there’s a pub on most street corners. Edinburgh cafés also dish up delicacies, often with a little inspiration. Remember, this is where JK Rowling began writing Harry Potter over some coffee and cake. Book an Edinburgh vacation now and who knows what adventures you might conjure up in Edinburgh?
